I,  KIT COMPONENTS & THEIR FUNCTIONS

1. Substrate Layer

  • Coarse Pumice: Provides effective drainage, preventing root rot and ensuring proper aeration.
  • Mesh Barrier: Prevents soil from falling into the drainage layer, reducing soil compaction and protecting the root system.
  • Zeolite: regulates moisture, filters air, improves soil, supports microorganisms, and maintains a clean environment.

2. Soil Mix – Nutrient Support for Plants

  • Coco Coir: Enhances soil moisture retention, creating a sustainable growing environment.
  • Peat Moss: Supplies nutrients and maintains appropriate humidity levels.
  • Pine Bark: Promotes root aeration and adds organic matter.
  • Perlite: Improves drainage and prevents waterlogging.
  • Pumice: Enhances oxygen supply to roots, ensuring healthy plant growth.

II, HOW TO SET UP THE TERRARIUM KIT

1. Prepare the Glass Container

  • Select a glass container of suitable size.
  • Choose an open-top design for easy handling and proper airflow.

2. Arrange the Materials in the Correct Order

Step 1: Create the drainage layer

  • Pour a 1-2 cm layer of coarse pumice at the bottom for efficient drainage.

Step 2: Add the Zeolite Layer

  • Spread a thin layer of zeolite over the pumice to help absorb toxins and regulate moisture levels.

Step 3: Add the mesh barrier

  • Place the mesh barrier over the pumice to separate it from the soil layer.

Step 4: Add the soil mix

  • Spread the soil mix evenly over the mesh barrier, ensuring an adequate thickness.
  • Use the mist spray to lightly moisten the soil, activating its nutrients.
  • Use a small stick or your fingers to create planting holes.

Step 5: Position the plants and green moss

  • Carefully place the plants into the pre-made holes.
  • Add a layer of green moss on top to retain moisture and enhance aesthetics.

Step 6: Decorate with pebbles

  • Arrange white pebbles and gravel pebbles for aesthetic enhancement and plant stability.
  • Use a paintbrush to clean off any dust or soil from the plants.


III,  TERRARIUM CARE 

  Watering: Use a mist spray to provide adequate moisture. Avoid  overwatering to prevent root rot.

 

Light: Place the terrarium in indirect sunlight to prevent plant dehydration or scorching. 

 

Air Circulation: Ensure proper airflow to minimize mold and fungal growth.

 

Cleaning: Regularly use a paintbrush to remove dust and keep the terrarium neat.
